Attention Seeking is on my mind, but lately I've been bumping into broader and better language to describe what I'm after here. Skip ahead to 36:09 to hear this product designer describe the higher calling/responsibility of design.

When I started this blog my focus was on designing digital environments. Designing digital environments is important because we spend so much of our time (too much of our time) in the digital world. But physical environments are just as much a part of the equation to living fulfilling lives and I'm going to start exploring them too.
I'm particularly excited to discuss some smart home projects I've been toying with lately, including an automated coffee maker and smart blinds. These projects are about adding ease and joy to waking up. The world I want to build for myself, the days I'm excited to live, start with regular early mornings. I'm excited to build that world and to share it here.
